PROKON is a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the organisation, control, and management of all production, no matter the size and degree of automation. Our MES solution PROKON can gradually lead any business into the future, due to the application of the newest development techniques. The MES system features an intuitive and flexible user interface and a multitude of manual intervention possibilities on different levels for all users.

The MES Software can be connected seamlessly with our stair building software and timber solutions. Furthermore, it is possible to link the MES solution with external systems at every point during production. Potential existing software solutions are CAD systems, ERP systems, CRM systems, BDI systems, warehouse management systems, dispatch warehouse management systems, and much more. The respective interfaces are XML, BTL, BVX, DXF, IFC, etc. Additionally, it is possible to issue commands or exchange information via hardware interfaces, such as OPC or HMI.

The entire production is connected on multiple levels through different stations. Each PROKON station digitally displays all relevant order information, and the user can make changes at the station. This means, each user can access all information and functions of the system at any place and time, depending on their authorisations.

The MES solution is built modularly, and every customer can decide individually how many stations and what kind of stations to implement. The Manufacturing Execution System organically grows with the company.

Status Updates – Surveillance and Security at Every Point in Time

Our MES system uses status updates to ensure the organisation, management, and surveillance of production. The system displays the location of a component or order in real-time. The MES solution accomplishes this with the use of status updates. The processing of components can be initiated manually or automatically via previously set intelligent rules.

Identification – Barcodes, RFID, Manual

Our PROKON MES software ensures that components and orders are always identifiable. The system enables the real-time display, organisation, surveillance, and control of all production processes. The identification process is managed through different systems: manual input, RFID, barcodes, etc. When scanning or reading-in a component at a station, it is possible to call up all information regarding that component:

Production – Optimised and Clear

Construction components, component groups, orders, production groups, etc. can be lead through production automatically or via predefined component paths. All production orders are shown in a total inventory, and it is possible to filter and sort them by different criteria.

The production strategy is customised individually to fit the customer’s operating method. This ensures an efficient production. The main priority is which components are to be manufactured together. These production groups can be sorted together through criteria, such as same materials, components with the same surface treatment, or entire orders. No matter how you decide, nothing will get lost: The individual components are easily sorted and merged back together during commissioning.

Machines, Robots, Cranes, Conveyor Technologies – Control of All Established Brands

MES PROKON is able to control all customary machines, e.g., CNC processing centres. The necessary data is processed through our neutral postprocessor. Furthermore, it is also possible to connect different machines with diverse conveyor technologies. These can be controlled manually or automatically. Possible conveyor technologies are robots, roller conveyors, cranes, forklifts, rail systems, autonomously driving conveyor technology, and much more.

The MES software initiates the necessary code and transfers it to the machine or conveyor technology. This ensures a smooth production flow, and it is even possible to transport very large and heavy components, e.g., those used for CLT manufacturing, with ease. Moreover, it is possible to implement such conveyor technology as a bridge between the warehouse and production. The MES solution can communicate with the warehouse and initiate the delivery of the correct materials. These will then be transported automatically to production when required.

Surveillance – Short Reaction Times and Flexibility

Quality control of production is managed through the MES software’s defective alert system and the provision of all necessary information at each PROKON station. Users are able to react fast to defective components. The defective component can be rerouted for repair or replaced completely. Afterwards, the component will be processed further, just as planned. 

If a customer receives a rush order, it is simple to prioritise it for production.

External systems, such as surveillance cameras in machines or similar technologies, can be implemented as well.

It is also possible to allocate additional documents to individual components or orders, which can be viewed at every station during production.

Commissions can be checked for completeness at any point during production. All components can be scanned by a selector and checked off on a list. If a component ends up missing, it is easy to locate it and find out its current position in production.

All articles, purchased parts, etc. will be supplied during the pre-packing process. All production groups will be sorted and packaged according to their commission during the final commissioning.
