Vitaby has already been working with Compass Software since 1998. However, the new owner Magnus Jacobsson was interested in seeing different optimisations and work methods at other Compass Software users’ workshops. To fulfill this wish, sales representative Martin Stockhausen organised a joint visit at another longstanding customer’s stair shop, Herbeder Holzwarenkontor Jörn Brenscheidt GmbH (Hokon), who is working innovatively at their German manufacturing facility. The group was welcomed on-site by Mr. Brenscheidt senior.
The two stair builders got along great from the start. During the lively exchange of knowledge and ideas, Magnus Jacobsson was able to see which machines Hokon uses to produce their stairs. The team discussed how Hokon plans their production strategically and which work processes the stair builder utilises to execute individual projects especially efficiently. Furthermore, the company also showed their in-house 3D printer. Hokon uses the printer to create small-scale stair models before production. They use the models as a high-tech solution for presenting their products and visualising the finished stair to the customer.
Overall, the visit was an immensely valuable experience for both stair builders. Our customer Vitaby is now able to go back to their own production with new experiences and ideas and to make their manufacturing facilities even more efficient with the help of Compass Software. We are looking forward to future optimisations and projects!
