CAD/CAM Tread Coverings

The tread coverings are automatically calculated by the system and can be optimised on larger plates for production. This works for all stair types.

Additions for the Protection of Edges and Risers

The parameters of the covering can be increased with additions. Tread coverings of mortised stairs can be extended at the front and back edge. The front addition can be folded down to protect the front edge of the tread. In the back, it is possible to make the addition so large that it can be folded up to protect the riser as well.

For open stairs (e.g., open, or bolted stairs), in addition to designing extensions to protect the edges, the user can also create notches for balusters and bolts. The notches can either be created as holes or can be added as part of the outside contour. This makes it much easier to install and remove the coverings.

New: Material Thickness for Tread Coverings

There is a new option for tread coverings that considers the material thickness of the protective covering.

The variation turned down (with tread thickness and material) can be selected to calculate the front and back edge of tread coverings in the floor plan construction mode and for external staircases. This option will consider the material thickness of the tread covering during calculation. This is necessary when coverings are not made of cardboard or felt, but from wood-based materials. This will ensure that the protective covering will fit correctly.
