Previously, it was not possible to determine separate speeds for the roughing and re-milling of tread contours. However, when roughing tread contours the machine has to run much slower because of the large amount of solid material that has to be processed. Re-milling, on the other hand, removes only a small amount of material and can be done much faster. The speed difference can now be determined with the new setting. This saves users a lot of time when producing treads.
The new speed setting is automatically filled in with the settings from the old contouring work process, so no changes are required for existing users. If desired, users can manually change the speed for smoothing of tread contours in the settings.
