Jonas has been working for us since September 2020 and recently finished his bachelor’s thesis. The topic was the extraction of stair and other geometry data from IFC files in order to export the information into XML files which can be re-imported into the Compass stair software. The export facilitates automation and makes it easier to extract relevant stair information from IFC building models. This topic from the field of building information modelling is a highly relevant topic in the building industry and especially import for stair building.
