In the Anglo-American countries, open stringers are sometimes connected to risers at a 45° angle. In the software, it is now possible to cut this connection in two processing steps to suit these (thinner) risers. In the first step, the stringer is milled to the thickness of the riser using a 3-axis machining step. Any desired assembly clearance can be added. In the second step, the miter is milled with the cutter tip at a 45° angle in a single infeed. The overmilling of the miter is freely adjustable. The system automatically adjusts the direction of the cut to achieve a tear-free result.
