The family business Jakobi was founded 1932 and offers a variety of high-quality products. Most of their products are manufactured on a Felder Profit H200 CNC machine. Over time, the company wondered if it would not be easier to produce stairs, which were constructed manually up until that point, with the CNC machine. Jakobi’s neighboring company Baethe Stairs was using Compass Software for their own stair production. So, carpentry Jakobi decided to also implement Compass Software and fully immerse themselves in the art of CAD/CAM stair production.
Our team installed the software at the beginning of June on-site. During the installation they already manufactured several parts, among them treads, risers, mortised and open stringers, and handrails. The machine makes it possible to mill stringer-handrail combinations, which result in immense material savings for the company.
