Machine Installation at Customer HTM Tischlerei GmbH

Compass Software installed a replacement Homag CNC machine at customer HTM Tischlerei after a workshop fire.

HTM Joinery has been working with Compass Software for several years. In March 2023, their workshop was destroyed by fire. HTM is now producing in rented facilities and is preparing to resume full operations. As part of this project, our technician Alexander Dörr installed a 5-axis Homag machine with barcode program generation at the end of August.

Among other things, HTM produces tread combinations on the CNC machine. Several tread combinations can be machined simultaneously using table arrangement. The CNC programs are generated by the machine operator via barcode. The machine first separates the tread combinations with a separating cut and moves them apart. The treads are then completely finished with all machining operations. In the last step, a flush-cutting unit mills roundings on the treads, if desired.

The machine also processes handrails. The handrail is clamped and completely finished on three sides. Additional clamps then approach the workpiece and automatically reclamp it so that the fourth side can be finished. A similar process is used for stringer-handrail combinations. The stringer-handrail combination is separated by a separation cut and then both parts are completely finished.

We are pleased that HTM Tischlerei GmbH will soon be able to resume full production and that we can continue to support them as their software partner.
