OBJ Export for Augmented Reality and More

Compass Software makes it possible to export stairs in OBJ format for AR apps, 3D printing, and 3D display.

Compass Software makes the transfer of stair designs to other software easy and fast. Stairs in OBJ format can find different applications:

  • 3D Display of Stairs – Stairs can be exported in OBJ format and then imported into external 3D software.
  • 3D Printing – Stairs can be printed as a small-scale 3D model on a 3D printer, which can be used as an innovative sales tool.
  • Augmented Reality (AR) Apps – It is possible to generate a QR code with an external augmented reality app, which lets the user project stairs into any room on a smartphone or tablet.

Scan the QR code with your tablet or smartphone to display an example stair as an AR model. 

The AR model can be projected into any room as a sales aid, for example a showroom or the construction site. The possibilities are endless.
