Compass Software Customer Hafrsfjord from Norway Visits Alber Stairs in Germany

We accompanied our Norwegian customer Hafrsfjord Tre A/S during a visit to Alber Treppensysteme, where they were able to take a closer look at the implementation of our MES solution PROKON and other optimizations.

Both stair builders have known each other for many years and are also good friends. The company Hafrsfjord already owns a 5 axis CNC machine and will receive a new plate warehouse system and nesting machine from the company HolzHer in one month. Owner Arvid Hebnes is fascinated by the efficient production at Alber Stairs and used this chance to take a closer look at their production system in person. The company Hafrsfjord is interested in implementing a complete workshop optimization and the MES system for their own production facility. The manufacturing execution system is used for the organization, control, and management of manufacturing processes. The company Alber has been using the MES software since the spring of 2021 and was able to significantly increase their production.

Next to the PROKON system, the visitors were also able to observe Alber’s plate warehouse and nesting machine. The company Hafrsfjord is intending to implement a similar work process next month. They are planning to completely finish as many components as possible on the nesting machine, just as it is done at Alber. Alber’s barcode system with connected and optimized table arrangement on a CNC Homag machine also impressed the Norwegians greatly.
